Raiders quarterback Derek Carr named grand marshal for Pennzoil 400

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr will serve as grand marshal for Sunday's NASCAR race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Carr will deliver the most famous words in motorsports, instructing drivers to "start your engines" ahead of the Pennzoil 400 Presented by Jiffy Lube on Sunday, March 7.

"This will be such a thrill to have the chance to bring the NASCAR Cup Series cars to life," Carr said in a press release. "I know there have been a long list [of] luminaries who have served in this role, and it's pretty cool to join them. I’m sure it’s going to be exhilarating once those cars fire up."

Buffalo Bills running back Antonio Williams will be the grand marshal for the Bucked Up 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on Friday.

Utah Jazz forward Joe Ingles will deliver the message on Saturday for the Alsco Uniforms 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race.

A limited number of fans will be in attendance for NASCAR weekend after the speedway got approval to host about 16,000 spectators.
