Fabian is a smart and driven 18-year-old who dreams of making a difference. He loves learning, playing soccer and spending time with his family.
Diagnosed with cancer in 2018, Fabian has been on a medical journey full of biopsies, chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
One of his biggest dreams is to study medicine with the goal of becoming a nurse, and when it came to his wish, he knew he wanted something that would have a lasting effect on his future.
His wish for a college scholarship to UNLV became a reality just in time for the start of college. Not only will Fabian be a first-generation college graduate in the years to come, but he will also be the first person in his family to pursue a career in the medical field.
The wish reveal was a complete surprise to Fabian and his parents. They thought they were heading for a normal appointment at The Wishing Place, but it turned into a safe and socially distanced celebration, complete with a big check with Fabian's name on it.
