BET is presenting its annual celebration recognizing the best in Soul, R&B, and Hip-Hop, including everyone from legends to the next generation of musicians.

It will be held on Nov. 5 at the Orleans Arena and will be filmed, set to air on BET and BET HER on Nov. 26 at 8 p.m.

The 2017 Soul Train Awards will be hosted, written, and produced by "godmother of soul" Erykah Badu, a four-time Grammy Award-winning soul singer and songwriter.

The star-studded lineup of performances includes Toni Braxton, SWV, Tamar Braxton, 112, Tank, and Kirk Franklin.

Toni Braxton will also receive the coveted Legend Award and SWV will be honored with the Lady of Soul Award.

Nominees this year's awards ceremony include Solange, Bruno Mars, DJ Khaled, Rihanna, Bryson Tiller, and more.

The Nov. 5 event begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Orleans Arena, located at 4500 W Tropicana Avenue.

Tickets start at $46.79 and can be purchased online, by calling 800-745-3000, or in-person at gift shops inside The Orleans, Suncoast, Gold Coast, and Sam's Town. Depending on availability, they also may be purchased the day of the show at the venue box office.

Celebrate the Day of the Dead right here in the valley!

During the first weekend in November, the Springs Preserve is transformed with illumination, inspiration, and a bit of magic for Dia de Muertos.

The special celebration will be held from 4-9 p.m. Nov. 3-5 at the Springs Preserve.

Dia de Muertos -- Day of the Dead -- is a traditional Latino cultural event to celebrate and honor the memory of loved ones who have passed away.

The three-day, family-friendly event will include:

  • Uniquely beautiful presentation of over 35 altars built by local residents
  • Traditional food
  • Fun arts and crafts
  • Face painting
  • Carnival games
  • Art exhibitions
  • Live entertainment such as plays, dances, Mariachi bands, and more

This week is the Professional Bull Riders' Built Ford Tough Series World Finals.

The PBR Finals Week is a five-day event filled with action-packed bull riding, live concerts, fan zones, after parties, and more.

It features the best bull riders in the world and the top bulls in the business.
