The “Sticks for Kids” youth hockey initiative provides the opportunity where kids can try out street hockey at free clinics around the Las Vegas area from May 20-21 and on June 3.

It is free for all kids ages 5-15; their parents just have to sign them up through the website.

The Vegas Golden Knights will be hosting a series of free "Sticks For Kids" street hockey clinics throughout Clark County to introduce local youth to the sport of hockey.

The first clinic will be held at Paradise Park (4775 S. McLeod, Las Vegas NV 89121).

Instruction will be led by staff members from the Vegas Golden Knights, with additional instructors expected to be added. All participants will receive a free street hockey stick.

Parents can sign their kids up by visiting:

Parents are strongly recommended to pre-register in order to ensure their spot as space is limited. Kids ages 5-15 are eligible to participate on a first-come, first served basis.

There will be different stations set up at each clinic where staff will teach the fundamentals of shooting, stick handling and passing.

For more information, visit the Golden Knights "Sticks for Kids" website.
