LACEY, Wash. (KOMO) - A highway clean up crew has quite the unenviable task Thursday afternoon after a manure truck spilled its load near Lacey.
The crash happened just after 1 p.m. in a roundabout, according to Trooper Brooke Bova with the Washington State Patrol.
Bova said the truck had a mechanical failure and the entire backside carrying the manure fell off, dumping its load in the roundabout.
A bulldozer was brought in to scrape up the steaming piles of waste and put them in another dump truck.
No one was injured in the crash, but manure was spread across the street and part of the intersection was blocked for the cleanup.
