17-year-old Jonathan Inzunza, a senior at Palo Verde High School, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma this year and wished to have a shopping spree.
Jonathan's smile is more than a representation of his positive mindset and he never lets his illness overshadow his ongoing optimism, which helped him kick cancer to the curb. Shortly after his diagnosis, Jonathan underwent surgery to remove a tumor from his neck and three rigorous cycles of chemotherapy.
During treatment, Jonathan remembered a time when his dad bought him a gift card to go shopping. It was that moment his wish was born. Jonathan explained that shopping was a way to escape the pain and feel like a normal teenager. In October, thanks to Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada, Jonathan was able to shop with his family for all of his favorite things: a new iPhone, clothing, and gifts for his family.
