The City of Henderson is hosting a second free watch party for the Vegas Golden Knights hockey team as they check their way to the Stanley Cup. The Golden Knights will be away when they face the San Jose Sharks in Game 6 of this second-round playoff series.
The family-friendly Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Pkwy., will be open for fans to watch their beloved Vegas Golden Knights on an 18-foot by 32-foot LED screen this Sunday, May 6. The puck drops at 4:30 p.m.; gates open at 2:30 p.m.
At least 2,600 enthusiastic hockey fans attended the first Pavilion viewing party on Wednesday, May 2.
All ages are welcome to attend. Tickets are not required. Both covered and lawn seating will be open to fans.
Hockey fans can visit food trucks as well as food and beverage stands in the Pavilion Courtyard. They will also be able to bring in their own food and beverages; no glass containers are allowed.
When the Golden Knights swept the Los Angeles Kings in April, it was just the third time in North American pro sports history that a team has swept their first-ever playoff series in franchise history. For the Las Vegas team, it came in their inaugural season.
A DJ will spin during commercials. Yard games include corn hole, giant Jenga, ladder golf, and Connect Four.
