Suspect arrested after officer-involved shooting near Eastern and Bonanza

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred early Saturday morning.

At approximately 12:27 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to reports of a shooting near the 2600 block of Cedar Ave.

While conducting an investigation of the shooting, an unknown person shot towards them. An officer returned fire and the suspect fled.

It appeared the suspect went into a nearby apartment building and officers set up containment around the unit.

The suspect was not immediately found, but eventually, detectives were able to locate and apprehend the suspect.
