Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Connor McDavid each had two goals for the Edmonton Oilers in their 8-2 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights, Tuesday night.

The United Soccer League team, Las Vegas Lights FC, introduced the franchise's first head coach, José Luis Sanchez Solá, also known as "Chelís," Tuesday at Inspire Theatre.

Legendary cutman Rafael Garcia passed away Tuesday.

He was 88-years-old.

A fixture in the corner of prizefighters, Garcia protected the prized possessions of countless world champions: their hands, wrapping them before battle and stopping the swelling or bleeding a fighter might encounter during it.

His career in boxing spanned seven decades and saw him work the corners of boxing greats like Roberto Duran, Alexis Arguello and Floyd Mayweather Junior.

Hall of Fame second baseman Bobby Doerr has died at age 99.

Doerr played 14 seasons with the Red Sox from 1937 to 1951, posting a .288 career average with 2,042 hits, 223 home runs, and 1,247 RBIs.

He had six 100-RBI seasons, an accomplishment that was not matched by another second baseman for 25 years.

The 1-0 Runnin' Rebels host Prairie View A&M Wednesday at 7 pm at the Thomas & Mack Center.
