Five people shot, two killed at apartments near Bonanza and Pecos

A total of five people have been shot at an apartment complex near Bonanza and Pecos. Two of those people have died. (KSNV)

Police are investigating a shooting in the northeast valley that has left people two dead and at least two more in critical condition.

The shooting was reported Wednesday evening around 8 p.m. in the 3700 block of East Bonanza Road at the Desert Pines Townhomes in a courtyard area.

According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Jeff Goodwin, a total of five people were shot, with two of those victims killed.

In an update by police, two of the remaining three victims are in critical condition, while the third person has superficial wounds.

The shooting victims range in age from the 30s to late 40s and include men and women. Two of the people shot lived at the complex.

Earliest reports by Las Vegas Fire & Rescue suggested at least three people were shot and are being transported to UMC Trauma.

LVFR crews were on scene assisting with emergency medical services but have now cleared the incident scene, leaving the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in charge.
