Majestic Repertory Theatre presents 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof'

The Majestic Repertory Theatre is kicking off the new year with the production of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”

On a steamy night in Mississippi, a Southern family gather at their cotton plantation to celebrate Big Daddy's birthday. The scorching heat is almost as oppressive as the lies they tell. Brick and Maggie dance round the secrets and sexual tensions that threaten to destroy their marriage. With the future of the family at stake, which version of the truth is real - and which will win out?

Tennessee Williams’ 1955 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama will get a radical revisiting in this intimate staging by Artistic Director Troy Heard.

Majestic Repertory Theatre was established in the fall of 2016 at ALIOS, an arts space in the Downtown Las Vegas Arts District.

The "Majestic" name was chosen in honor of one of the first theatres in Las Vegas, the Majestic Theatre which was located on Fremont Street. Active in the early 1900s, it was a vaudeville house and cinema.
