For the 11th year, the Women's Leadership Conference will be held at the MGM Grand.
With March being National Women's History Month, it's the perfect time to reflect on and celebrate the women in our community.
Dawn Christensen, the Director of National Diversity Relations at MGM Resorts International, stopped by with more information.
The event is open to everyone, from the CEO to the small business owner to the stay-at-home mom, as well as all ethnicities, professions, social backgrounds, and genders.
Hosted by the MGM Resorts Foundation, the conference offers learning opportunities, career guidance, and personal growth.
There will be two days of career-oriented workshops, with three distinct tracks -- Emerging Leaders, Emerging Executives, and Executives.
Proceeds of the conference after costs will be donated to one or more local nonprofits. Last year, $30,000 was given to Southern Nevada Children's First.
The two-day 2017 Women's Leadership Conference will be held from Aug. 7 - 8 at the MGM Grand Conference Center.
The cost to attend is $375 until April 7 and $485 after April 7. The conference is expected to sell out, so those wishing to sign up are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
