Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill in Summerlin is featuring the Sommelier Smackdown -- a biannual event where two sommeliers are challenged with developing three wine pairings to match Chef Spencer's three-course menu.
Round One will take place on Nov. 14, and will feature the following menu:
- First Course - Roasted fall squash soup, Poached pears, Gingersnap crumble
- Second Course - Red wine-braised short rib, spiced carrots, Parmesan polenta
- Dessert - White chocolate raspberry truffle cheesecake, Chocolate cookie crust, Raspberry Coulis

Round Two will be held Dec. 5, while Round Three, the final showdown, will be held Jan. 17, 2018.
The restaurant is also offering special pies that will be available for pickup through Thanksgiving Day, including:
- Dutch apple - $20
- Sweet potato - $20
- White chocolate cheesecake with gingersnap crust - $25
