ABSOLUTE BALANCE GRAND OPENING
Coming from a famed European circus family that gave them a superior foundation in balance and agility, Carmita, Marco, and Paulo Lorador have been accomplished hand balancers for over 40 years.
The family's new studio will offer hand balancing, aerial and power yoga, pilates, and contortion, all taught by Cirque acrobats.
Marco and Paulo were born into a renowned multi-generational European circus family and have performed worldwide, as well as appearing as guests at Cirque festivals.
In the past, they have performed for the Queen of England and former United Kingdom prime minister Tony Blair, Oprah Winfrey, Today Show, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The talented brothers have been performing for Cirque du Soleil for over 25 years and are currently showcasing their craft in Mystere at Treasure Island.
The Absolute Balance grand opening celebration will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Sept. 8.
Absolute Balance is located at 6115 S. Fort Apache Road, near the corner of Patrick Lane.

CANDLELIGHTERS SUPERHERO 5K
To commemorate National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada will turn Las Vegas gold with its shineGOLD campaign. The international awareness symbol for childhood cancer is the gold ribbon.
Since 1978, Candlelighters has served as Nevada's premier childhood cancer organization.
Celebrate childhood cancer superheroes with the annual Candlelighters Superhero 5K with Chet Buchanan at Mountain's Edge Exploration Park, located at 9275 S. Buffalo Drive.
The fun-filled, family event will kick off on Saturday, Sept. 9 at 8 a.m. and will include a bone marrow drive hosted by Be the Match, children's activities like slides and an obstacle course, an awards ceremony, food and refreshments, and more.
Costumes are encouraged!

BITE OF LAS VEGAS
The Bite of Las Vegas returns this weekend for its 21st year and it's bigger and better than ever.
Bite of Las Vegas starts around 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9 at Desert Breeze Park, located at 8275 Spring Mountain Road.
Featured performers at this year's food and music festival include Neon Trees, Rachel Platten, LeAnn Rimes, Eve 6, Vertical Horizon, Shawn Hook, Lights, and Zowie Bowie.
