The 20 Pearls Foundation aims to enhance the quality of life in our community through service and scholastic achievement.
Here to tell us more about the organization and their upcoming event are Brenda Dumas and Valerie Lucas.
The Hats and Heels event will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24 at the Dragon Ridge Country Club. The $65 event involves tea and entertainment and also involves a hat auction. Funds from the auction will benefit the 20 Pearls Foundation.
The 20 Pearls Foundation serves as a non-profit service organization for community involvement and scholastic achievement. This foundation is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and philanthropic purposes, and provides support for educational, cultural, community, and health service programs, as well as other selected projects for all segments of the Las Vegas community.
20 Pearls Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to providing service to the community. One very important way in which they strive to achieve this is by acting as a fiscal agent for the scholarship program and other chapter fundraisers. Proceeds from Theta Theta Omega's Annual Emerald Ball are used to fund scholarships for young men and women graduating from Clark County-area high schools.
The foundation solicits contributions for Book Awards ($300-$500) and its own Twenty Pearls Foundation Scholarship. The Fellows Campaign is the main fundraiser for the Foundation. It occurs each year during the month of October.
